On June 20, 2008, Darrin and Cheryl Lee joined our MONOPOLY Family!
Darrin and Cheryl have three children. Derik (18) son of Darrin, Brittni (16) daughter of Darrin, and Nick (14) son of Cheryl.

Darrin grew up in Big Rock, IL and after graduating Hinckley-Big Rock HS moved on to the military (Air Force). He served 4 years at Plattsburgh AFB, New York where he was in Law Enforcement – Military Police. He attained Associates in Applied Science from Clinton Community College, Plattsburgh, NY. Then he went on to Northern Illinois University for undergraduate studies. Was married to his first wife in 1990 and had a son upon returning to Illinois and began a career as a Police Officer for the City of St. Charles, IL. Darrin has worked in most fields in Law Enforcement with the exception of Narcotic enforcement. In 1992, when Derik was two-years old, Brittni was born. In 2001, he was divorced (Yea!) and moved back to Big Rock near his family.
Cheryl grew up in Palos Heights, IL attended Carl Sandburg HS and has an Associates Degree from Northwestern Business College. Moved on to work downtown Chicago for a large real estate management company (JMB Realty) for a few years and then married her first husband. Shortly thereafter, had her one and only son, Nicholas. Then decided to work part-time while Nick was growing up. At 2 ½ years old, Nick was diagnosed as having a hearing loss and was fitted for hearing aids. Mom spent a lot of time trying to find the right fit for Nicholas’ education and found an all-oral school. Nick spent 2 years of his pre-school life working hard to catch up his speech. Finally moving back to his home school in Lockport, mom and dad divorced in 2003. She worked part-time for a jewelry company in Westmont, IL and after a year, they decided to invite her to work full-time, which worked out perfect with her divorce being final. She’s an Account Executive in the Sales and Marketing department which is exciting, rewarding and hard work all wrapped up into one job.
How did Darrin and Cheryl meet? Well after long days and nights searching to find the right person to share the rest of our lives with, we both happened to be on E-Harmony.com. It took us both some time to find a common meeting time/place, but once we met each other, there was no turning back. We were married in December, 2007 and have been so happy since. Don’t get me wrong, there are trying times in our household with three teenagers, but we don’t regret it at all. Lots of work ahead of us, so we are glad to be apart of another family – Monopoly!
We’ve decided to join the monopoly family because we both realize that investing in real estate is generally a win, win situation. And over the long-term, we will see financial gains as well as our children will reap the benefits also.
